Hi everyone, it seems that the entire month of May has passed without an Anndale map update! We have been very busy in that time though.
With our map now made up of 84 “Glades”, comprising over 6 months of work and creativity, the time has come to pause further development of our world within the Tiny Glade game and have some fun building other more challenging builds in game, and even playing some other games in live streams.
Anndale isn’t stopping though! No, Sir! Now is the time I take a step back and begin constructing all the lore, getting it written down (which will take some time) and also begin writing stories within this world myself - just a little warning that my stories may not be quite as charming, cosy and cheery as those we’ve already posted whether it be the stories AI come up with or those written by Adrienne. Mine will be darker.
So right now I am writing a sort of Anndale origin story that ties in with our very first story “The brave little sparrow” (find it here) though the ending might be quite different… When this will appear, I’m not sure but I’ll work on it when I can. As you can appreciate, my available time is minimal.
This origin story was inspired by the idea of making the original village, but set 100+ years in the past as a challenge to see if I could come up with sensible ways and reasons the village layout changed and remained similar over time. A lovely challenge, one that begins telling stories in your mind!

So, what of the overall map? Over the beginning of May not only did I add in some filler glades to add forest and hills, we also added some landmarks. The large garden to the rear of the stately home, the coastal holiday spot for that family, more coastal communities and a grand lighthouse!
Its been so much fun creating all this while building a community around it all. What an incredible 6 months it has been! I still feel that this is just the beginning…
I’ll hopefully be posting some lore details in the coming weeks, and maybe a story, this just depends on time.
